Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM

The role you’ll contribute:

Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the Medical Technician performs clinical testing in areas such as Blood Bank, Microbiology, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, and Urinalysis. Responsibilities include obtaining or receiving specimens, performing tests by standardized procedures, understanding method principles, performing quality control, preventative maintenance, and interpreting results for accuracy and acceptability. The Medical Technician works with a certified Medical Technologist, organizes work to meet deadlines, records data, and maintains job competence. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications:

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Associate in Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, biology, chemistry, or related science preferred, or relevant college coursework to meet certification requirements
  • 1 year of approved clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required
  • Certification from ASCP or other recognized agency
