Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our core laboratory team in Rockford, IL. You will work under the supervision of the Core Lab Section Head and shift supervisor, handling preanalytic duties, data entry, clerical tasks, and specimen processing.

You will perform waived to high-complexity testing across Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Urinalysis, gram stains, and Blood Bank, with a 40-hour week and pay range of $28.14–$36.58 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Under the general supervision of the Core Lab Section Head and shift supervisor.
• Medical Technologist performs preanalytic testing responsibilities including clerical duties, data entry, and specimen processing.
• Performs waived, moderate complexity, and high complexity analytic testing on blood and body fluids in Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Urinalysis, gram stains and Blood Bank.
• Performs post analytic testing responsibilities including test reporting and verification.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and reagents.
• Maintains non-analytic equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, and centrifuges.
• Maintains a safe work area.
• Demonstrates professional work habits, interpersonal skills, dependability and reliability.

The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensationfor a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

Pay Range: $28.14 - $36.58
