Qualifications
- Associates of Science in Medical Lab Technology (MLT) degree or equivalent.
- 60 semester hours including chemistry & biology with completed MLT program.
- Completed a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training course (past ten years).
Responsibilities
- Performs analytical tests on biological specimens accurately per procedures.
- Assesses specimen acceptability by inspection and review of results.
- Identifies factors affecting measurements and takes corrective action.
- Performs quality control and ensures reliable patient results.
- Maintains safety and equipment by routine checks and work-area cleaning.
