Job description

Role Overview: Responsible for performing a variety of manual and automated laboratory tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment. Ensures accurate documentation, monitors supplies, and maintains compliance with safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards. Provides excellent face-to-face and phone customer service, manages computer data entry and retrieval, and maintains a clean workspace.

Core Duties: Analyzes patient samples, evaluates test result reliability based on patient demographics, performs calibration and quality control checks, participates in proficiency surveys and performance improvement, performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on lab equipment, and handles LIS and HIS computer functions. Follows all policies and procedures.

Qualifications: Requires an associate’s degree, valid medical laboratory technician or technologist certification (e.g., MLT or MT), and at least one year of experience in a CLIA-accredited lab. Preferred skills include strong organizational abilities, basic computer proficiency, and experience with LIS systems, Microsoft Office, and related software.
