About This Position

Collects, performs and evaluates clinical laboratory tests ordered by the physician to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of customer treatment by providing timely and accurate laboratory services to meet the needs of neonate, infant, adolescent, adult and geriatric customers. Performs all services in a manner that meets regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution or prior to April 24,1995 qualified as a technician according to CLIA "grandfather" provisions.


Experience

  • 1 year of related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of universal infection prevention protocol and standard safety practices and procedures.
  • Skill in operating standard laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to evaluate laboratory test results.


Licensure/Certification

ASCP or equivalent certification or eligible to sit for Board or Registry exam. Certification is required within 1 year of hire and maintained as a condition of continued employment.

Salary Range: N14 ($23.66 - $35.50), based on experience

Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
