Summary:

Medical Lab Techs perform various chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. They follow all laboratory policies and procedures including Quality Control, Maintenance, Safety, and Infection Control. They assist in monitoring ongoing Laboratory and Hospital Quality Assessment/Quality Improvement and in training students and new staff.

*Pay Depends on Experience*

Requirements:

• Two years of college with courses in biology, chemistry, and mathematics. An associate of Arts degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• For Bachelors not in MLS/CLS, a transcript is required. Certification/License is preferred but not required.
• Registration by the Registry Boards of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists is desired.
• One year experience as Medical Technician is preferred.
