Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform tests on blood, urine and other body fluids to aid in diagnosis and evaluation of patient status. The role emphasizes quality improvement and teamwork within a high-volume lab.

Qualified candidates typically hold an associate degree and ASCP national registration or equivalent, with state-specific license eligibility within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and completion of an accredited MLT program OR the equivalent education and experience that qualifies for national registration through the ASCP
• National Registration as an MLT(ASCP)cm, MLT(ASCP), MLT(AMT), MLT(AAB), MLT(HEW) OR State Specific MLT License (within 6 months)

Job Summary And Qualifications

What Qualifications You Will Need

Associates degree and completion of an accredited MLT program OR the equivalent education and experience that qualifies for national registration through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)

• National Registration as an MLT(ASCP)cm, MLT(ASCP), MLT(AMT), MLT(AAB), MLT(HEW) OR State Specific MLT License (within 6 months)

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
