Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform tests on blood, urine and other body fluids to aid in patient diagnosis and status. The role includes participating in Quality Improvement activities and maintaining a compassionate, professional approach with all patients and staff.

The position supports the department's long-range goals and values, with emphasis on teamwork, accuracy, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and accredited MLT program or ASCP eligibility.
• Experience or training in testing blood, urine and other body fluids for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) utilizes skills and training to perform test of samples of blood, urine and other body fluids to obtain information utilized in diagnosis and evaluation of patient medical status. Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Maintains appropriate awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Promotes a supportive, team-work oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of XXX Medical Center.

What qualifications you will need: Associates degree and completion of an accredited MLT program OR the equivalent education and experience that qualifies for national registration through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
