Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program.
Hold a current State Board Certification for Medical Laboratory Technician.
Have previous experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
Completed Phlebotomy training.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred phlebotomy training experience of at least 90 days.
Responsibilities
Perform in-house laboratory testing.
Maintain logbooks and records of tests sent out and track results.
Perform proficiency testing on laboratory equipment.
Establish controls and standards for in-house procedures.
Collect viable specimens from patients in a timely manner.
Adhere to OSHA, CLIA, and COLA standards.
Track laboratory results for missing reports.
Conduct mandated lab reviews with designated accrediting agencies.
