Qualifications

• Associate degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science (transcripts reviewed).
• Equivalent training per CLIA 42CFR493.1489 or 42CFR493.1491 (including military labs).
• Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation and translation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with specimen collection, receipt, and processing.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA.
• Perform waived and non-waived tests accurately.
• Report to department supervisor and work under supervision.
