Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist to perform qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests, manual and automated, for disease diagnosis and treatment.
The role includes documentation, safety compliance, direct patient-facing service, data entry, and adherence to hospital policies. Certification options (ASCP/AAB/HEW/NCA) are required or preferred depending on track.

Accountable for performing a variety of qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests, both manual and automated, of varying complexity to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Other duties include: responsibility for documentation of all activities, monitoring supplies; compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements related to safety and laboratory testing; face to face and telephone customer service; computer data entry and retrieval; workplace cleanliness and maintenance. Follows all laboratory and hospital policies and procedures.

MLT(ASCP) - Medical Laboratory Technician or MLT(AAB) - Medical Laboratory Technician or MT(AAB) - Medical Technologist or MT(HEW) - Medical Technologist or MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist or LABTECH - Clinical Lab Tech

Education clarification: Scientific based Associates degree required, or completion of MLT program (technical school/diploma program) which qualifies candidate to take the certification exam. RequiredMinimum 1 year in a CLIA accredited laboratory Preferred
