Essentia Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician or Scientist to join St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN. The role supports routine to complex testing across patient ages, with a 0.9 FTE and a Day/Eve rotation in a hospital laboratory.

Qualifications

• MLT: associate degree in medical laboratory technology or equivalent CLIA-compliant pathway.
• MLS: four-year CLIA-qualified clinical laboratory science degree or ASCP-certified with experience.
• ASCP certification within 1 year from date of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report tests of all complexity levels per CLIA for patients of all ages.
• Participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Phlebotomy and specimen processing duties as needed; support research and technical consultation.
