Job summary

Tanner Clinic has an opening for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS). This role is in the Lab department and reports to the Lab Supervisor. The MLS/MLT performs testing, analyzes specimens, reports results, and ensures QC and safety standards are followed.

Placement as MLT or MLS depends on the candidate's education, certification, and qualifications. Regular attendance and collaboration with clinical staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related program.
• Current MLT/MLS certification accepted by Tanner Clinic.
• Experience in clinical laboratory preferred; new grads considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, immunology, and other disciplines.
• Collect, process, and analyze blood, urine, body fluids, and other specimens.
• Review laboratory findings for accuracy and report results to providers.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
• Document quality control and quality assurance activities.
