Geisinger Medical Laboratories in Muncy, PA seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician for a part-time, rotating-shift position. You will perform and report analyses from multiple specimen sources to support patient care, maintain instrument quality, and help train new staff.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Medical Technology or related field with ASCP/NAACLS certification or equivalent experience, and meet licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in medical technology or clinical laboratory science with relevant certification.
• ASCP/NAACLS-certification or equivalent required or 2+ years in related role.
• HEW credential noted among acceptable qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report analyses from multiple specimen sources.
• Maintain productivity and manage multiple work processes.
• Handle specimens properly and ensure accurate identification.
• Perform instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control.
• Assist in training and orientation of new employees.

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science + ASCP/NAACLS-certified program

Bachelor of Science degree with major in biological, chemical, physical or clinical laboratory science + ASCP categorical certification

Bachelor of Science degree with major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science + at least two years' MLT experience
