About this position

Summary: Under the general direction of the Manager, Laboratory Services, the Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is responsible for the delivery of quality, cost‑effective laboratory services at CharterCARE Health Partners in compliance with all regulatory and licensing standards. The role assists in developing standards for delivery of services, scope, and evaluation of standards, and implements and evaluates a plan to ensure high‑quality testing.

Education: BS, MLS (ASCP), or AS, MLT (ASCP)

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of related clinical experience is required. Relevant managerial experience is preferred. Proficiency in the use of various software applications is required.

This position involves lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting and/or carrying items such as files and books, requiring hand/eye coordination, fine motor skills, and the ability to move freely and safely around the laboratory. Work will include moderately taxing continuous physical work, often requiring prolonged sitting or standing for several hours.
