Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, VA. The role performs routine tests on blood and other specimens and delivers quality results to physicians with strict adherence to safety and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field from a CLIA approved program.
MLS Certification or eligible by a recognized agency (ASCP preferred).
Externship program completed (preferred).

Responsibilities

Performs analytical tests on biological specimens in a timely, accurate manner.
Determines acceptability of specimens and recognizes abnormal results.
Ensures quality control and maintains safety and equipment checks.
Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows hospital policies.
Other duties as assigned.
