Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital – Jordan Valley seeks a Medical Lab Scientist to analyze and report tests per Medical Staff orders, ensuring timely results and adherence to laboratory procedures and regulatory guidelines for patient care.

You will perform diverse tests with precision, document findings, and collaborate with healthcare providers to support critical data for patient decisions. A strong attention to detail and regulatory understanding are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA.
• Must be appropriately trained in clinical laboratory science as evaluated by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory.
• MLS (ASCP) or equivalent preferred per requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs cytogenetic testing with a high level of competency according to established protocols.
• Generates and reports results used for accurate diagnoses and prognoses.
• Responsible for accurate and timely result reporting, including communication of critical results.
• Utilizes critical thinking to correlate and interpret data.
• Responsible for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instruments and documentation of activities.
• Completes required QC and maintenance, recognizing variances and documenting corrective actions.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Lab Scientist, you will accurately analyze and report all tests ordered by the Medical Staff, ensuring timely results and adherence to laboratory procedures and regulatory guidelines to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Every day you will perform a variety of laboratory tests with precision, meticulously document findings, and collaborate with healthcare providers to contribute critical data for patient care decisions.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail in laboratory testing and reporting, a deep understanding of regulatory guidelines, and a commitment to providing high-quality diagnostic information for patient care.

Pay Range

$29.36 - $43.68 /hour
