Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a laboratory professional to perform a variety of tests with professionalism and judgment to ensure accurate results. The role emphasizes accountability, timely communication with physicians, and adherence to safety and vaccination policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years experience or MLS clinical rotations (1 year) preferred.
• Associate's degree with 1-2 years experience; clinical lab experience preferred.
• MT - ASCP Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Certification in a Lab Specialty required.

Overview

This position is responsible for the performance of a variety of laboratory tests in an accurate and timely manner. Professional judgment is exercised to ascertain the appropriateness of the test orders, the validity of test results and to communicate this information to the physician

• Associate's Degree and 1-2 years experience Preferred Clinical Laboratory experience
• MT - ASCP Certified Medical Technologist - ASCP within 6 months of hire Required
• Certification in a Lab Specialty Required

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $32.70/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
