Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform laboratory tests on blood, urine, body fluids, and feces under supervision, reporting results per policies. The position may involve supervision of the lab when requested by the laboratory manager.

The role requires an Associate's degree in MLT/Laboratory Science, ASCP (or equivalent) certification, and licensure, with at least two years of high-complexity testing experience.

• Two years of experience performing high-complexity testing.
• Certification: Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) or equivalent, required by 3 months.
• Licensure: Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) or equivalent.

Under the general supervision of the Administrative Laboratory Director, obtains patient specimens, performs laboratory tests on blood, urine, body fluids, feces, and reports test results according to prescribed laboratory policies and procedures. Responsible for the supervision and operation of the laboratory if so requested by the laboratory manager and performs any other task necessary to maintain the proper functioning of the department and the hospital.

• Minimum Education: Associate' degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician in Laboratory Science
• Minimum Experience: Two years' experience in high complexity testing is required.
• Required Certification: Medical Lab Technician (American Society of Clinical Pathology) or equivalent.
• Required Licensure: Medical Lab Technician (American Society of Clinical Pathology) or equivalent.

** Note - Required certifications are to be completed by 3 months of employment.
