Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or compliance with applicable CLIA and state regulatory requirements.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred or required.
• State Medical Technologist license may be required, depending on the position requirements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Computer proficiency; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine specimen acceptability for testing based on established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing procedures and problem-solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Monitor and replenish laboratory supplies as needed.
• Assist with specimen processing when required.
• Maintain a safe working environment and use PPE.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or compliance with applicable CLIA and state regulatory requirements.
• Minimum 5-7 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• State Medical Technologist license may be required, depending on the position requirements.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred or required, as specified in the position requirements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Computer proficiency; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to pass a standardized color vision screening.
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts based on business needs.
