Hours: Night Shift with Night shift weekends 11:00p - 7:00a

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible to perform complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues. Identify bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, analyze chemical content of fluids, cross match blood for transfusion and organ transplantation, aseptically prepare cells for use in cellular therapies. The results of these tests are used in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor?s Degree or if currently certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or a Medical Technologist, an Associate degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory or equivalent education and training may be substituted for a Bachelors.
  • If not currently certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or a Medical Technologists, must be eligible for the ASCP, AMT or equivalent board certification exam and must be Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist certified within 18 months of hire.
