Job summary

Nacogdoches Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join the on-site laboratory team. You will obtain patient specimens, perform tests on blood, urine, and other body fluids, and report results in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, ASCP certification or equivalent, licensure, and at least two years of high complexity testing experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required.
• Two years’ experience in high complexity testing required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient specimens and perform laboratory tests on blood, urine, body fluids, and feces according to policies.
• Report test results accurately and timely.
• Supervise and operate the laboratory if requested by the laboratory manager.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
