University Health System – San Antonio is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our laboratory team. The role performs procedures for testing or analysis on specimens submitted to the lab, supporting accurate diagnoses and patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in medical technology or a related science, plus ASCP-BOC or AMT certification. A strong commitment to quality and teamwork is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological science is required.
• High school graduate or equivalent AND successfully completed military training of 50 or more weeks and served as a medical laboratory specialist.
• Certification by the ASCP-BOC or AMT is required.

EDUCATION

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) is required.
