Job summary

LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans seeks a Department Coordinator for the Department of Medical Laboratory Science at the MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY campus. The role provides administrative and operational support to the Department Head and collaborates with school and university leadership to coordinate activities.

Qualifications

• One year of progressively responsible administrative or office support experience, preferably in an education or healthcare setting.
• Experience should include records management, scheduling, fiscal or purchasing support, and working with students, faculty, and staff.
• Substitution: At least three years of relevant administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate a broad range of academic, administrative, operational, and compliance-related activities in support of departmental goals.
• Assist in advancing initiatives, monitoring progress, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and supporting projects across these functional areas to help ensure activities remain organized, timely, and responsive.
• Provide exceptional administrative support to a diverse group of stakeholders.
