Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (post-secondary education acceptable).
• One year of interpreting experience, including at least 6 months in medical interpreting.
• Certification of completion from a recognized Medical Interpreter Training Program (min 40 hours).
• Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI) through NBCMI or CCHI also accepted.
• Successful completion of the Interpreter Skills Test (IST) as administered by Northside Hospital.
