Are you a detail-oriented problem-solver with a knack for navigating the complexities of medical billing? ???? We're looking for a dedicated Remote Denial Management Specialist to join our social and fun team! In this vital role, you'll be at the forefront of resolving denied claims, ensuring our revenue cycle runs smoothly. You'll dive deep into accounts, investigate denials, and work with payers to secure the reimbursement our providers deserve.
What You'll Be Doing Day-to-Day:
- Become a denial management expert! Review accounts that have been billed and denied.
- Investigate the "why": Meticulously review denials, determine the cause (timely filing, benefits, provider credentialing, etc.), and strategize on resolutions.
- Take action: Process appeals, manage reconciliation, and handle write-off requests. ️
- Stay organized: Log in daily, manage your worklist (busiquate), and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Be the communication hub: Liaise between healthcare providers, patients, and insurance carriers to resolve account issues.
- Master account resolution: Utilize collection techniques and negotiate payment for current and past-due accounts via phone and written correspondence.
- Keep records pristine: Accurately update patient account information.
- Identify trends: Monitor and identify payer denial patterns, communicating these to your supervisor.
- Analyze A/R: Run monthly aging reports to identify accounts requiring follow-up.
- Collaborate: Report any coding-related denials to the Coding Specialist.
- Be a problem-solver: Conduct necessary research to ensure proper claim reimbursement, generate retroactive authorizations, and verify medical eligibility.
- Support the team: Assist with special projects as assigned by the Billing Manager or Supervisor.

What You Need to Bring (Must-Haves):
- At least 1 year of experience managing denials (Practice/Physician denials experience preferred over Hospital side).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work standard EST hours (preference for candidates on the East Coast side of the US).
- A quiet, dedicated workspace for remote work.
Bonus Points If You Have (Nice-to-Haves):
- Exposure/background in infusion and/or interventional radiology.
- Reside in Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Massachusetts, or Alabama.

The Details: ️
- Pay: $19-$20 per hour, paid weekly!
- Schedule: Flexible, Monday-Friday. Start as early as 7 AM EST or as late as 9 AM EST. Consistent schedule preferred (30 min or 1-hour lunch).
- Equipment: We provide the equipment! (All boxes must be kept. A $10 IT deposit is taken from each paycheck and repaid upon equipment return at contract end).
- Metrics: Expect to handle 30-35 claims per day.
- Start Date: Takes approximately 3 weeks from offer (IT ships equipment after background check clears).
