Medical Information Specialist I - Nurse - Remote

Join our team as a Medical Information Specialist I - Nurse - Remote at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Position Overview

This role is based in Wilmington, NC, and involves providing medical information services, supporting clinical trials, and responding to inquiries related to pharmaceutical or device products.

Work Schedule

Rotational days/weekends, with shifts between 11:00 am - 7:00 pm EST and 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm EST. Weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical and medical inquiries via phone, email, internet, or mail.
• Process fulfillments, provide clinical trial information, and support after-hours on-call services.
• Analyze questions to formulate accurate responses using approved resources.
• Record and triage adverse events and product complaints.
• Maintain knowledge of policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external contacts to resolve inquiries and research medical literature.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent experience, with active RN license or NLC.
• Previous relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills, proficiency in computer use, and ability to interpret complex medical information.

Physical & Work Environment

• Office environment with exposure to electrical equipment.
• High-pressure environment with frequent client interaction.
• Rotating shifts supporting evening hours and on-call coverage.
