Job summary

University Health is seeking a Medical Imaging Scheduler to manage scheduling, front desk duties, and patient flow at Lakewood Medical Imaging in Independence, MO. The role requires accurate data handling and clear communication with patients and staff.

The position is full-time (40 hours per week) with a standard 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, located at Lakewood Medical Imaging, Independence. Experience in healthcare scheduling is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year customer service.
• Communication skills to interview patients and families and exchange information with staff, physicians, payors and others.
• Concise written communication skills. Proficient in use of computer hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients through scheduling, pre-registration, front desk management, check-in, registration and check-out.
• Manage patient flow and secure an efficient, accurate clinic schedule.
• Verify demographic and financial information in the system and communicate health benefit information and financial obligations.
