Job summary

Mount Desert Island Hospital in Bar Harbor, ME is seeking a Medical Imaging Assistant to handle patient scheduling, report distribution, and pre-certification confirmations, while maintaining accurate procedure schedules.

You will prepare technologist worksheets, charts and forms, and assist with training. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills and is based in our on-site imaging department.

Qualifications

• Office experience and medical terminology preferred.

Description

The Medical Imaging Assistant is responsible for scheduling patients, distribute reports, confirm pre-certification and maintain procedure schedules and training staff as needed. The assistant maintains appropriate spreadsheets, gathers essential technologist's worksheets prior to patient arrival, charts and log forms used by all sections of the department. Attend staff meetings, types and distributes minutes to the appropriate staff.
