Job summary

Mohawk Valley Health System is seeking a Coding Supervisor to lead the coding team under the CDI & Coding Director, maximizing resources for quality and productivity. You will supervise workflows, establish competencies, and ensure adherence to procedures.

The role emphasizes training, policy updates, and escalation of performance issues to senior management. Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, DRGs, and encoders is essential. This is a salaried management position in Utica, NY.

Qualifications

• AS in Healthcare Information Technology
• 5 years in hospital coding
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, Official coding guidelines, DRGs, APCs, and documentation guidelines
• Familiar with encoders and groupers
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, organization, and coordinate multi priorities
• BS in Healthcare Information Technology
• 5 years in hospital coding and supervisory experience
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, organization, and coordinate multi priorities

Responsibilities
