The ophthalmology team offers LASIK surgery, cataract surgery with premium intraocular lenses, glaucoma surgery, dry eye treatment, myopia treatment, astigmatism treatment, cornea transplants, and laser eye surgery.

Job Description
  • Answering incoming calls and triaging patient inquiries, particularly assessing the urgency of their needs (e.g., determining if they require immediate attention or if their concerns can wait until later in the week).
  • Evaluating the severity of patient concerns, identifying if immediate care is necessary, and directing them to the appropriate team members or resources.
  • If a patient wishes to pay their bill, ensure the call is properly transferred to the billing department for further assistance.
  • Assisting patients with prescription refill requests. Training will be provided to handle these requests efficiently.
  • Addressing general medical inquiries, providing appropriate information, and escalating matters to healthcare providers as needed.
Must Haves
  • Experience in Ophthalmology: A background working in an ophthalmology clinic, with a solid understanding of the field and its specific patient needs.
  • Proficiency in NexTech: Strong knowledge and experience using NexTech software, including scheduling, patient records, and other administrative functions.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to effectively communicate with patients, staff, and medical providers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage phone triage, and address a variety of patient needs in a timely manner.
