Job description

Job Purpose: This position serves as a first point of contact for all entities that enter a medical facility and is responsible for a variety of activities related to patient intake and care. This position performs essential functions in both in-person and virtual clinic settings.

What You Will Do:

  1. Welcome, schedule, and check in patients, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.
  2. Promptly answer and return phone calls.
  3. Schedule appointments in accordance with established guidelines.
  4. Ensure that patient forms, pre-visit screeners, consent packets, and demographic and insurance information are accurately completed and uploaded into the electronic medical record system.
  5. Collect co-payments, deductibles, and handle other financial transactions as required.
  6. Complete all document scanning on the same business day they are received.
  7. Meet or exceed department metrics for outreach and scheduling activities, and assist in the preparation of reports for tracking performance.
  8. Consistently demonstrate empathy and compassion during all patient interactions.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

What We Need From You:

  1. GED or High School Diploma required.
  2. Medical Assistant certification or Associate degree in a health-related field preferred.
  3. Minimum of six months' professional experience in a similar role, such as customer service or medical front office, preferred.
  4. Valid and current CPR, First Aid Certification, and an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card required (Denova will assist with obtaining a Fingerprint Clearance Card upon acceptance of the offer).
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Proficiency in using electronic record-keeping systems (EMR, billing software, insurance carrier portals, spreadsheets, etc.) preferred.
  7. Bilingual capabilities preferred.

  1. Join us onsite for dynamic workdays, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
