Job summary

Agiliti Health, Inc. in West Virginia is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician I to provide cost-effective maintenance and repair services for hospital medical devices.

You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs under supervision, with duties including documentation for billing and regulatory compliance. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, willingness to work flexible hours, and periodic travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on a variety of medical devices including medical beds, infusion pumps, patient monitoring equipment, etc.
• Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and required regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.

The Medical Equipment Technician I provides cost-effective maintenance on company and customer-owned medical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly following manufacturer specifications. They perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair service under the guidance of a qualified Biomedical Equipment Technician or supervisor.

What You Will Do in This Role

• A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as needed to support a 24/7 schedule.
• A willingness to travel periodically to support business needs.
• The ability to lift and/or push up to 75 pounds.
• The ability to often bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
