Job summary

Agiliti in San Diego is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician I to perform cost-effective inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical devices such as beds, infusion pumps, and patient monitors. You will complete all paperwork for billing and regulatory compliance.

You will communicate with clinical staff about equipment features and functionality. This role requires a safe driving record and the ability to work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of computer networks.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to travel periodically to support business needs.
• Ability to lift and/or push up to 75 pounds, and to perform physical activities for extended periods.

Job Overview

The Medical Equipment Technician I provides cost-effective maintenance on company and customer-owned medical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly following manufacturer specifications. They perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair service under the guidance of a qualified Biomedical Equipment Technician or supervisor.

What You Will Do

• Provide cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on a variety of medical devices including medical beds, infusion pumps, patient monitoring equipment, etc.
• Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and required regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.

What You Will Need

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.
• Basic computer skills; understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
• A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as needed to support a 24/7 schedule.
• A willingness to travel periodically to support business needs.
• The ability to lift and/or push up to 75 pounds.
• The ability to often bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
