What you'll do as an Equipment Service Technician:
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of STERIS and competitor equipment, systems, and components.
  • Manage time effectively by prioritizing customer and business needs to complete PMs, service calls, warranty calls, equipment installations, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Tech Support, Engineering, Service Contract Management) to escalate issues and utilize technology platforms for compliance and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Provide customers with information, pricing, and repair options. Build relationships with Sales to enhance customer experience and identify sales opportunities.
  • Support various locations within the territory based on service agreements and customer needs.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
  • High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of work experience, including 2 years in a mechanical/technical role. Certifications or military experience may be considered.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet credentialing requirements.
  • Customer and team engagement experience.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Windows, email, mobile apps, data entry).
  • Flexibility for schedules including potential overnights and early/late hours.
  • Ability to meet hospital/Customer credentialing requirements.
