Schedule:Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Job Summary

The Rehab Technician is responsible for delivering, setting up, and maintaining durable medical equipment at various locations, ensuring optimal functionality and patient comfort. This role requires excellent customer service skills, effective communication with the service team, and proficiency in using hand-held and Bluetooth application programmers for power wheelchairs. The technician will also participate in ongoing education programs to enhance their skills and knowledge

Essential Functions
  • Efficiently deliver and set up new and loaned medical equipment at various locations.
  • Perform necessary adjustments and repairs to equipment in the field to ensure optimal functionality and patient comfort.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the service team to coordinate deliveries and address any issues that arise.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring comfort and satisfaction for people with disabilities.
  • Be willing to learn to use hand-held and Bluetooth application programmers for power wheelchairs.
  • Upload and send documents to the appropriate personnel, demonstrating proficiency in computer use.
  • Participate in annual education programs designed to support your growth and proficiency in the field.
  • Perform warehouse duties including inventory counts, cleaning and organization as assigned.
  • Assembly of new equipment.

Qualifications and requirements
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Clean driving record acceptable to our auto insurance carrier.
  • Must be 21 years or older to drive a company vehicle.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills and comfort in working with people with disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • DME/CRT experience highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to efficiently deliver, set up, and repair medical equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively coordinate with the service team and interact with customers.
  • Problem Solving: Aptitude for troubleshooting and performing necessary adjustments and repairs in the field.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area, and manage documentation efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies, including hand-held and Bluetooth application programmers.
  • Professionalism: Adherence to company policies and procedures, with a focus on maintaining patient comfort and satisfaction.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with the technicians and participate in ongoing education and training programs.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling and crouching to repair and set up equipment.
  • High level of manual dexterity to handle small parts and tools.
  • Must be able to drive for extended periods and handle loading and unloading equipment from the vehicle.
  • Good visual acuity to read instructions, manuals, and perform detailed repairs.
