Job summary

CDL Nuclear Technologies in South Bend, IN is seeking a Medical Equipment Delivery Technician to safely transport, install, and set up medical devices at hospitals and clinics, including mobile imaging equipment and Rb‑82 infusion systems. You will ensure equipment readiness and regulatory compliance, supporting patient care across healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (no serious incidents within the past two years)
  • Ability to work independently and manage changing schedules
  • Willingness to drive long distances, work overnight hours, and travel 1–4 nights per week
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform moderate physical labor
  • Basic computer setup and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Teams experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company policies
  • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle and equipment inspections
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment using proper handling and safety procedures
  • Install and set up equipment onsite, including following clean technique when required, connecting and configuring basic computer hardware and software, and site‑readiness checks
  • Comply with DOT, NRC, OSHA, and HAZMAT regulations, including proper documentation
  • Complete and maintain accurate delivery documentation and required records in a timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, equipment, hub locations, and customer facilities
  • Perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance
  • Maintain facility security and follow after‑hours access protocols
  • Immediately report equipment, vehicle, or facility issues or damage to leadership
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, coworkers, and management
  • Provide courteous, empathetic customer service to support customer satisfaction
  • Work flexible schedules, including long routes, overnight travel, and schedule changes
  • Maintain a clean driving record and adherence to company safety standards
  • Work independently and assist with training or instructing coworkers as needed

  • Driving in varied conditions, including night, inclement weather, congested areas, and tight spaces
  • Work performed in medical environments with strict regulatory compliance requirements
