Job summary

A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) is seeking a Medical Education Learning Specialist to support osteopathic medical students through individualized academic coaching, learning strategy development, and wellness-focused interventions.

You will partner with faculty, advisors, counseling services, and student support teams to promote achievement, professional development, and belonging across the medical education continuum.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in education, counseling, psychology, higher education, learning sciences, health professions education, student affairs, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in academic support, advising, coaching, student affairs, or related educational settings.
• Experience providing services in at least three areas: academic coaching/learning strategies, licensure exam prep (COMLEX-USA/USMLE), work/life balance and student wellness support, and higher education environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic coaching and learning strategy development for medical students.
• Design and facilitate educational workshops and programming across preclinical and clinical phases.
• Monitor and analyze student success data to improve programs and interventions.
• Collaborate with faculty, counseling services, ATSU accommodations liaison, and student services to support holistic learner development.
• Support inclusive learning environments and belonging initiatives.
