Job summary

Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a faculty member to contribute to predoctoral didactic and clinical education programs. The role involves teaching medical students, directing courses, and engaging in scholarly activity while supporting college and professional service.

The position emphasizes curriculum development, team-based learning, and innovative teaching methods, with opportunities for leadership as Course Director or Co-Course Director as assigned.

Qualifications

• DO or MD from a COCA-accredited medical school.
• Board eligibility by AOA or ACGME specialty board.
• Proven track record as an educator with foundational medical education teaching.
• Experience with curricular and instructional design.
• Experience with innovative teaching methods (team-based learning, flipped classroom, problem-based learning, distance learning, interactive large group presentation, audience response systems, Blackboard).
• History of scholarly, professional and/or individual achievement.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students in didactic and clinical education programs.
• Direct pre-clinical and clinical courses and participate in curriculum development.
• Engage in scholarly activities and service to the college and profession.
• Advise students and assist with recruitment, retention, and placement efforts.
• Serve on committees and represent the college in a positive manner.
