Job summary

MedSpeed is hiring a Part Time Temperature Tracking Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Houston, TX. You will work 12:00pm–8:30pm weekdays and 11:00–17:00 on Saturdays, 2-3 days per week, starting and ending at the Westchase hub.

You’ll drive a company vehicle, monitor temperature integrity, handle specimens and medical materials, and perform routine inspections. Training provided and opportunities for growth are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.

Responsibilities

• Most of your day will be spent in a company-owned vehicle, safely driving and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials.
• Ensure temperature integrity throughout storage and transportation by conducting scheduled monitoring, equipment checks, and reporting discrepancies.
• Ensure all temperature devices are functioning accurately throughout the shift.
• Safely handle, lift, and transport temperature-controlled coolers while maintaining chain-of-custody.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of coolers, temperature monitoring equipment, and vehicle systems.
• Identify and report temperature variances, equipment malfunctions, or delivery issues to management.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean and orderly.
• Route duties vary by client and may change.
• Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
