Job summary

MedSpeed is hiring a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Lansing, MI. The role focuses on safely driving a company vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals and related materials.

Training is provided and a company vehicle is provided. Requirements include COVID vaccination where mandated, a Michigan chauffeur license or willingness to obtain one, and a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with technology and handheld devices.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and be able to walk/stand for long periods.
• Must be 19+ with an active driver’s license for 3 years and willing to obtain chauffeur’s license.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials in a company vehicle.
• Load and unload vehicle with appropriate equipment.
• Operate a handheld scanner to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Follow operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean vehicle.
• Demonstrate teamwork and adapt to clients and teammates.
• Contribute to a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
