Job description

Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver - Cargo Van

Pittsburgh, PA – $16.00/hr – Full Time

Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 1:30pm

This position involves driving a Cargo Van moving pallets of heavy supplies by both weight and volume.

What you will be doing as a MedSpeed Medical Driver:

  1. Most of your day will be spent in a company-owned vehicle, safely driving and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials.
  2. Load and unload company vehicle with appropriate equipment.
  3. Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items throughout the transportation cycle.
  4. Observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
  5. Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
  6. Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle.
  7. Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
  8. Build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.

What you need to become a MedSpeed Medical Driver:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Relevant industry/driving experience is a plus.
  3. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  4. Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
  5. Must have excellent driving history.
  6. Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
  7. Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
  8. Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates.
  9. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  10. Must be able to lift items off storage racks.
  11. Must be comfortable with walking and standing for long periods of time.
