Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Medical Dosimetrist to join our team in a fully remote, full-time role. This position requires a strong passion for radiation and excellent patient service, with updated resume required for consideration.

The candidate will generate dose distributions, support simulations and brachytherapy, and lead and mentor the dosimetry team while advancing quality and technology initiatives.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Graduate of an AMA program in medical dosimetry or radiation therapy technology required.
• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) or registry eligible required.

Medical Dosimetrist Description:

Generate radiation dose distributions and calculations in order to provide radiation treatment plans, in accordance with the radiation oncologists' prescription. Assist in simulation, brachytherapy and specialty procedures as directed and participates in the clinical and didactic instruction of students. In addition to performing advanced clinical dosimetry functions, this position provides leadership, mentorship, and oversight of the dosimetry team, facilitates departmental workflow, and contributes to quality improvement initiatives, technology advancements, and staff development.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.


• Graduate of an approved AMA program in medical dosimetry or radiation therapy technology program required.


• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) or registry eligible required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Clinical experience as a dosimetrist preferred.


• Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy technology, or health related field, preferred.


• Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred.


• Medical dosimetry computer applications preferred.


• ARRT Registered Radiation Therapist preferred.


• Experience in Proton treatment planning preferred.


• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role highly desirable preferred.
