Overview


Center for Animal Health in Wauwatosa, WI, is looking to add an experienced veterinarian to join our multi-doctor practice as our Medical Director.

Center for Animal Health is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, preventative, surgical, and dental care. We offer a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and external laboratories, working closely with local board-certified specialists when necessary. Our facility includes laser therapy, an in-house surgery suite, digital x-ray capabilities, and a closely supervised hospitalization area.

Requirements:

  • Licensed WI Veterinarian (active and clear)
  • Excellent medical and surgical skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, DVMs, and teammates to build a results-driven, team-oriented environment

How you'll make an impact:


  • Maintain and uphold the core values and mission statement of MVP.
  • Diagnose, perform surgery, and treat patients.
  • Maintain excellent client communication.
  • Record all pertinent medical, client, and case-related information accurately in patient records.
  • Review medical records, estimates, or discharge instructions with clients.
  • Call clients for follow-up and discuss results.
  • Set standards of care and protocols for medical and surgical areas.
  • Maintain practice growth and review financial reports.
  • Communicate clearly and accurately through written and verbal interactions.
  • Collaborate with the practice manager for administrative management.
  • Deal with clients professionally, showing sensitivity and tact.
  • Mentor team members for career advancement and personal development.
  • Provide feedback and updates to the training program.
  • Guide support staff to ensure smooth shift flow.
  • Contribute to employee performance evaluations.
