Skills and Basic Qualifications
About our team:
Animal Kind has been a staple in our community for over 30 years. Our employees are long-tenured and work closely together towards the same goal: to provide the best preventative, medical, surgical, and dental care possible to our patients, while supporting the well-being of all staff members. We like to have fun at work when we can, by celebrating the holidays with bowling parties and potlucks, and throwing in the occasional ugly sweater competition.
We utilize a boarded surgeon for orthopedic or complicated soft tissue procedures on a non-emergent basis, and a visiting cardiologist who can be scheduled for echocardiograms. We have great relationships with the local specialty/emergency clinics both utilizing and referring to the specialist consultation services available, and refer when indicated.
We have doctor rounds daily to discuss cases, and extended meetings monthly, lunch and learn seminars, sharing pearls from CE and webinars, and discussing goals, strategies and protocols for the practice and staff.
About the area:
The Park Slope neighborhood is a lovely area, within walking distance of Prospect Park and the F train, with a bus stop in front of the practice. Parking and transportation subsidies are available - but many of our vets have lived within walking/biking distance of the clinic. We have tree-lined streets with lots of great stores and eateries - lots of options for lunch orders!
