At GoodNeighbor Animal Hospital, we're building a neighborhood-centered animal hospital designed around a simple belief: when veterinary teams thrive, pets and families receive better care.
As we prepare to open our first Nashville hospital in March 2027, we're seeking a Medical Director who wants to build something meaningful from day one. This is an opportunity to shape the culture, mentor a growing team, establish medical standards, and create a hospital that becomes a trusted part of the community.
This role is ideal for a veterinarian who believes strong medicine, strong leadership, and a great life outside of work should exist together.
As the founding Medical Director, you'll have the opportunity to:
Your leadership will directly impact the success of the hospital, the well-being of the team, and the quality of care delivered to Nashville's pet families.
As Medical Director, you will:
We're looking for a veterinarian who enjoys leadership, values mentorship, and wants to play a meaningful role in building a lasting organization.
We believe great leadership requires balance, which is why our doctors work:

Every GoodNeighbor veterinarian receives a $2,500 annual "Neighbor in Need" stipend to help clients access care when finances become a barrier.
No committee, no barriers, no guilt, just trust in your professional judgment to help pets receive the care they need.
If you're looking for the opportunity to lead, mentor, and build a hospital from the ground up while practicing exceptional medicine in a supportive environment, we invite you to join us.
Strong medicine should feel human. Honest guidance should feel clear. A veterinary career should still leave room for a life.
