Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Medical Director for the Augusta, GA market to drive clinical excellence and lead value-based care initiatives. The role combines direct patient care, clinical leadership, and program management with the central interdisciplinary team.

You will coach nurse practitioners, identify market opportunities, and improve processes while ensuring high-quality, coordinated care. Approximately 30–50% of time in the clinic, with oversight across the market.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required with board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, or Geriatrics.
• Active Georgia license; willingness to pursue multi-state licensure if needed.
• Approximately 5 years of outpatient practice, caring for high-risk, clinically complex populations.
• Experience in value-based care models and leading/mentoring other providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and hands-on coaching to Upperline Plus nurse practitioners.
• Lead clinical value-based care programs and population health initiatives.
• Identify market opportunities and streamline clinical processes to improve outcomes.
• Split time between clinic work (30–50%) and market leadership duties in Augusta.
