Job description

The University of Virginia Stem Cell Program, Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology, and University of Virginia Cancer Center is seeking a Stem Cell Transplant/Cellular Therapies Medical Director. This is open rank, open track, but expected to be at the Associate Professor or Full Professor rank. Rank and tenure status will be dependent upon qualifications. The UVa Health System offers many opportunities for collaborative clinical and basic research, an active clinical trials program, and is an NCI-designated Clinical Cancer Center. The Medical Director will be responsible for ongoing design of the clinical program (quality management, selection and care of patients and donors, clinical research) as well as lead the recruitment of additional faculty members, and the development of a top tier cellular therapy and transplantation program.
