Position Summary:

The Project Physician is a key member of a clinical team responsible for developing and executing medical strategies and overseeing the clinical and operational aspects of a complex compound program. They contribute actively to the clinical development plan, clinical trial protocols, and clinical study reports, and may be involved in regulatory filings. The role involves collaboration with various scientific and business disciplines, including project management, legal, quality assurance, clinical supplies, regulatory affairs, data management, medical writing, biostatistics, and others. The Project Physician may also evaluate scientific opportunities within the therapeutic area.

Essential Functions:
  1. Responsible for medical monitoring, reporting, and company safety activities.
  2. Develops clinical development plans, trial protocols, and owns clinical study reports.
  3. Evaluates adverse events for relationship to treatment.
  4. Assists Regulatory Affairs with compliance and reporting requirements.
  5. Acts as a medical contact for health authorities concerning clinical/medical issues.
  6. Prepares and interprets results of product research for regulatory submissions.
  7. Collaborates with project teams across programs.
Other Responsibilities / Duties:
  1. Supports regulatory strategies and explores new product ideas.
  2. Involves in product evaluation, labeling, surveillance, and cross-functional team leadership.
  3. Reviews medical literature and emerging technologies.
  4. May review company advertising and promotional materials.
Education:

MD (or equivalent) with relevant post-doctoral training and certification.

Required Technical Knowledge and Skills:
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Compensation:

The anticipated base pay range is $194,000 - $334,650. The position is eligible for performance-based bonuses and other benefits as detailed in the full job posting.
