Job summary

Primary Care Solutions (PCS) is seeking a physician to provide direct clinical care to United States veterans in a VA-affiliated clinic. You will oversee clinical care and act as a medical resource for delivery of care, ensuring excellent outcomes per VA guidelines.

The role emphasizes collaboration with VA partners, ongoing chart reviews, and guidance on scheduling and follow-up visits. This position highlights purpose, paid travel, work-life balance, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and board certification in family medicine or internal medicine.
• Active state medical license and DEA in state of practice.
• Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (to be renewed annually).
• 2 years of clinical medical practice in primary care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primarily a direct clinical care role, diagnosis, and treatment of veterans.
• Oversee the clinical care given to veterans enrolled in the clinic.
• Medical resource for care delivery.
• Achieve and maintain excellent clinical outcomes through periodic chart reviews and by abiding by VA guidelines.
• Develop and maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with VA partners.
• Support patient enrollment and retention by providing scheduling guidance and follow-up visits.

What You'll Do

• Primarily a direct clinical care role, diagnosis, and treatment of veterans

• Support patient enrollment and retention by providing guidance, when necessary, regarding scheduling, follow-up visits, or nurse visits.

Who We're Looking For

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Degree (MD/DO)
• Board-certified in family practice or internal medicine
• 2 years of clinical medical practice in primary care preferred
• Active state license and DEA in state of practice
• Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (to be renewed annually)
• Ability to provide clinical leadership
• Maintain a positive clinic culture by displaying an enthusiastic and encouraging demeanor
• Excellent computer skills; VA experience a plus - CPRS/VISTA GUI!
